Developed a web application to integrate target management, protein target construct designs, clone/protein/compound order management, DEL library management, registration, and inventory into a single system.

Designed a custom system to integrate order management, EMRs, sample management, report management, inventory, kit management, customer management (Salesforce), billing management (XIFIN), and appointment scheduling (WorkPath).

Developed a foundation for a large antibody drug discovery lab using microservices and web components to provide flexibility and scalability.

Results: Company used the foundation to create a new antibody drug discovery platform.

Technology Roadmap

Helped a cell-based therapeutics startup identify solutions to support their therapeutic discovery operations and provided an unbiased set of recommendations for a new cloud-based ELN/LIMS system.

Results: Customer used the system to collect data for their first therapeutic candidate.

QualFX: Kinase Profiling App

Created a desktop application for a drug discovery company that allowed scientists to analyze and store kinase profiling data for a targeted drug discovery platform.

Results: Company was able to use the system to review historic data and identify a new drug candidate that had been previously overlooked.

Small Drug Discovery Company

Compound Management

Studied current methods in use, designed and developed a new system that chemists use to accelerate and track ordering, plating, and shipping of compounds for screening.

Results: Cleared a backlog of over 200 issues with the system, and created a steering group to prioritize new development efforts. Integrated system with liquid handler to improve throughput.

Developed a web-based text-mining system for the purpose of identifying protein-protein interactions from PubMed data.

Project Reporting System

Designed and implemented a project reporting system specifically for scientists to ease and accelerate the generation of quarterly reports on drug discovery projects in the portfolio.

Phenotypic Assay Management System

Evaluated current methods in use and created a tailored web application specifically to collect and analyze data from 500 phenotypic assays used to support a large-scale drug target validation program.

Drug Target Management System

Designed and implemented a custom software system allowing scientists to prioritize and review drug targets for a large-scale target knockout program.

Results: This system was used to identify and prioritize the 5000 most druggable genes in the human genome.
