Follow up to Funding

In a previous post, I talked about ways to change how we think about funding pancreatic cancer research.  One of the things that caught my eye was a page on the Lustgarten web site that detailed some of the significant research that the group has funded in recent years.

I also mentioned using your iTunes budget for the month to donate to a number of funding agencies like the Lustgarten foundation who are making strides in pancreatic cancer research. Somewhat coincidentally, a recent BBC news article asked “Who do I bequeath my iTunes credits to?”  You can also directly support the research being done at the Sol Goldman Center at Johns Hopkins by clicking on this link.  Many of the papers you’ve read on this blog originated in their labs.

In addition, if you’re a researcher and looking for additional funding sources the AACR also listed a number of funding opportunities for 2012.
