Pharm2Market 2.0
We released Pharm2Market 1.0 in December of 2018 and over the course of 2019 the number of users has continued to grow as the database has grown.
The curation team has been hard at work, and in April we published the San Francisco community database with over 250 drug discovery companies and their pipelines, local investors and resource companies, news and events.
We have also been busily curating the Boston database in addition to adding hundreds of updates to the San Diego and San Francisco databases.
The development team has continued to grow, with 3 new team members joining the group. In the Fall of 2019, they began working on the 2.0 release of Pharm2Market and with it a slew of customer-requested changes designed to improve performance, platform support, curation, and querying capabilities.
This release, currently scheduled for Q1 of 2020 includes:
- Support for iPhones and iPads.
- An All Access Pass subscription option that lets you access data from all of our communities.
- Autocuration support to make it easier and faster for the curation team to manage our ever-growing database.
- Porting the database to the latest version of Google’s Firestore realtime database to provide:
- Performance improvements
- Offline caching of data making it possible to cache data on your mobile device.
- Support for indication searching
- Improved support for combination therapy projects
- Project company filtering
- Support for richer queries like:
- “Which investors are investing in oncology?”
- “Which investors are investing in T-Cell therapies?”
- “Who’s working on targets in the EGFR pathway?”
- “Who has Phase II projects for KRAS?”
What Are We Planning for 2020?
Beyond the release of Pharm2Market 2.0, we’re also working on a number of features to further improve the service.
- Support for pathway searching. Allowing users to find companies who are working in the same pathway, and thus making it easier to find potential collaborators for combination therapy projects.
- Company Matching Engine: A company matching engine to help business development users identify companies similar to companies already in their portfolio.
- Investor Matching Engine: An investor matching engine to help drug discovery companies identify investors who are investing in companies like theirs.
- A new service built on the Pharm2Market platform, but focused on the needs of drug discovery researchers. The service, code-named PharmLife will help researchers identify potential employers, connect with them at community events, and keep up with the latest community, and industry news. If you’re interested in helping us test the service, register here and we’ll notify you as we get closer to our beta release.
